detectives, who will work with Deputy Juvenile Officers from the family court and the <br />school system to identify clients from the court system and school who have <br />demonstrated a propensity to get into trouble and are on the road or already profess <br />gang affiliations and or partake in criminal activity. The combination of police and <br />juvenile officers will be utilized to conduct on-going mentoring sessions and attempt <br />recovery of the individual participants before life altering mistakes are made. The grant <br />has been approved for $20,000. Both grants will conclude by the end of 2008. <br /> <br />Dine Out in the Loop in support of <br />On Tuesday, October 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm <br />Brittany Woods Middle School PTO. <br /> If you dine out in the Loop during this time at <br />one of the participating restaurants (to be announced closer to the date), the restaurant <br />will donate a portion of your dinner bill to the Brittany Woods PTO. For more <br />information, contact Shelley Shray at 863-1918. <br /> <br />Craft Fair and Chilli Cook-Off on Saturday, <br />The BW PTO will also be holding a <br />st <br />October 6. <br />The free Craft Fair runs from 11 am to 4 pm at the Brittany Woods 81 <br />Street entrance. The Chili Cook- <br />Off runs from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm; $5 for Adults and $3 for children which includes all <br />the chili, hot dogs and dessert you can eat and drinks too.
