Session 1850 <br />August 26, 2002 <br /> <br />5. An emergency bill was introduced by Mr. Munkel, entitled: <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8618 -AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN ADDITIONAL TAX FOR <br />THE UNIVERSITY CITY LOOP SPECIAL BUSINESS DISTRICT SO THAT THE <br />ADDITIONAL TAX ON THE REAL PROPERTY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2002- <br />2003 SHALL BE $.7037 PER ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) OF <br />ASSESSED VALUATION; AND CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY CLAUSE. <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading. <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt moved adoption. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion. The roll call vote was <br />as follows: AYES: Ms. Welsch, Mr. Sharpe, Ms. Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mr. Lieberman <br />and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill number 8618 passed and became Ordinance <br />6388. <br /> <br />6. An emergency bill was introduced by Mr. Wagner, entitled: <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8619 - ORDERING THE LEVY AND FIXING THE RATE OF TAXES <br />TO BE COLLECTED IN THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY FOR THE FISCAL <br />YEAR 2002-2003, TO PROVIDE FOR GENERAL REVENUE, TO PROVIDE <br />FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF A FREE PUBLIC <br />LIBRARY AND READING ROOM, AND CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY <br />CLAUSE. <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading. <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman thought that we had already passed these three tax bills in June. Mr. <br />Ollendorff said that he was correct. They have to be passed two times prior to the end <br />of August in order to follow state procedures. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman moved adoption. Mr. Sharpe seconded the motion. The roll call vote <br />was as follows: AYES: Mr. Lieberman, Ms. Welsch, Mr. Sharpe, Ms. Colquitt, Mr. <br />Munkel, Mr. Wagner and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill number 8619 passed and <br />became Ordinance 6389. <br /> <br />BILLS FOR INTRODUCTION: <br /> <br />1.
