Session 1852
September 23, 2002

Mr. Wagner moved adoption. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion.

The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Ms.
Welsch, Mr. Sharpe, Ms. Colquitt and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill number 8622
passed and became Ordinance 6391.

ADDITIONAL CITIZEN COMMENT:

Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel, wished to know the applicants name that applied for the
liquor licenses that the Council dealt with earlier. She said that Pete's had to go through
all sorts of hoops to get their liquor license. She wondered if the applicant had to have
a police check. Mayor Adams said that they did have one and many other types of
background checks have been done. She said that there are no names listed on the
agenda and that the applicants generally have to appear before Council - she believes
there is a double standard here. Mayor Adams disagreed. Ms. Glickert said that the
public wants to know who is applying. She has never seen this happen like this.

Mr. Lieberman said that this is because these are transfers. Mayor Adams believes he
is correct.

ADJOURNMENT:

Mayor Adams announced that the next Council meeting would be on October 7, 2002 at
7:30 p.m. The Council will also be holding a special meeting on October 10, 2002 at
5:00 p.m. to deal with a real estate matter. The m,~eting adjourned at 9:02 p.m.

ha Fors

12
