Session 1859 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />November 4, 2002 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall on Monday, November 4, 2002, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting <br />to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council <br />were present: <br /> Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br /> Mr. Wayne Munkel <br /> Mr. Robed Wagner <br /> Mr. Larry Lieberman <br /> Ms. Shelley Welsch <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved for the approval of the October 21,2002 regular meeting minutes as <br />presented. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #1 - CONSENT CALENDAR: <br /> <br />#1 - Furnish and install seventy lockers for the police department: Request for <br />Quotations were sent to four vendors. $8,000 was budgeted for this project. The <br />following bids were received. <br /> <br />Boise Cascade <br />Corporate Express <br />Office Furniture Solutions <br /> <br />$13,898.00 <br />$15,366.00 <br />$13,29O.35 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended making the award to Office Furniture Solutions for their <br />Iow bid of $13,290.35. A transfer will be needed from accounts with excess funds. <br /> <br /># 2 - Public hearing date forpayday loan zoning: The Plan Commission has <br />recommended amending the zoning ordinance to provide conditional use permit status <br />for shod term loan companies near high employment commercial/industrial areas. Mr. <br />Ollendorff recommended setting a public hearing for 7:30 p.m. in these Council <br />Chambers on November 18 to receive comments from citizens on this proposal. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved to adopt the consent calendar.
