I have attached a list of factually based talking points that <br />should assist you should you receive any questions. The Blackberry Rambler, a <br />neighborhood newsletter, published an issue with an inaccurate and inflammatory letter <br />from Mr. Rubin. The next issue of the Rambler will include a letter from the City <br />clarifying the inaccuracies. Unfortunately, Elliot Davis did a “you paid for it” piece based <br />on the misinformation. The Mayor was interviewed and did an excellent job of sharing <br />accurate information, regarding the City’s desire to in fact “not pay for it” and still <br />preserve the course. As a follow up, we are forwarding the attached information to <br />individuals in the neighborhood as identified on the map included. Tuesday night the <br />City of Clayton approved their formal commitment to our grant application as a public <br />partner. Clayton will contribute $30,000 for the project in exchange for resident golf <br /> <br />rates. <br /> <br />parking lot at <br />Washington University submitted a plan to improve an unimproved <br />Lindell and Forsyth <br /> in partnership with University City. We are currently working out <br />the details. The initial proposal and lease are attached. Once the lot is improved, the <br />City would be responsible for monitoring the meters and ticketing violators. In return, <br />we would retain any revenue from tickets and 50% of the metered collections. <br /> <br />With the shut down of several miles of Interstate 64 on the horizon, Metro and <br />Commerce Bank are teaming up to encourage commuters to try transit and help <br />alleviate traffic congestion as work continues on the region’s largest reconstruction <br />free Metro <br />project ever.
