OLIVE BOULEVARD PROJECTS - $215,272 <br /> Olive Beautification:$60,272 <br /> UCB will install and maintain hanging baskets on the decorative lampposts between Midland and <br /> Grant ($20,140); Olive Tree Care ($8,109); care and maintain nine Olive Gardens($14,218); install <br /> new decorative planters on Olive in the Interchange District ($9,997); and provide ground cover for <br /> the trees on Olive ($7,808). <br /> Lunar New Year Celebration: $15,000 <br /> The Chamber will organize and market a Lunar New Year celebration on Olive Boulevard. In 2016, <br /> the event had record-breaking attendance from the public and wide support. <br /> Olive Streetscape Project: $80,000 <br /> EDRST funds will allow the U City Department of Community Development to install and update 13 <br /> high-use frequency bus stops on Olive Blvd. All shelters will receive trash and recycling containers <br /> and a decorative art component. Five of the shelters will be completely new. <br /> Facade Improvement Program: $60,000 <br /> The City provides up to $15,000 to assist a business seeking to restore, replace, or improve, the <br /> exterior facade of a property. The existing Facade Improvement Program is out of funds due to the <br /> success of the program and interested property owners. <br /> EDRSTB RECOMMENDED BUDGET : USE OF RESERVES <br /> Olive Boulevard Projects: $60,000 <br /> U City Department of Public Works and Parks: $60,000 Upgrade 120 pedestrian light bulbs on Olive <br /> Blvd. to LED which will provide increased light coverage, safety, energy efficiency, and savings. <br /> Delmar Boulevard Projects: $3,000 <br /> EDRSTB recommends allocating an additional $3,000 from reserves to upgrade pedestrian lighting in <br /> the Delmar Loop. <br />
