Session 1716, Minutes
February 23, 1998

AGENDA #2: REZONING PUBLIC HEARING:

Mr. Ollendorff recommends setting 7:30 p.m. on March 30 in these Council Chambers
as the time and place for a public hearing to consider rezoning property known as 8638
Barby Avenue and 8640-8656 West Kingsbury in Boschert's Addition and Barby Lane
Subdivisions to High Density Residential/Office (HRO). The requested rezoning does
conform to the City's comprehensive plan. The rezoning should be considered in
conjunction with a Conditional Use application describing the proposed use of the
property. Setting the hearing date as recommended will allow adequate time for public
notices without unduly delaying the applicant.

Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion.

Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff said that the Plan Commission would
have to hold the Public Hearing on the Conditional Use permit. The Council holds the
Public Hearing on the rezoning. The rezoning has to be approved before the
conditional use permit. He will have on the March 30th agenda, the public hearing and
the consideration of the conditional use permit.

Responding to Mr. Wagner, Mr. Ollendorff said that the address on signs that were
posted with the address of 8660 was an error.

The motion carried unanimously.

AGENDA #3: TREE PRUNING:

The Forestry Division has requested pruning of trees in various locations throughout
University City. $22,000 was set-aside for the requirement.
