This contract was competitively bid with <br />prices below those the City could receive elsewhere. Staff evaluated this contract to <br />replace 29 personal computers citywide, and 4 heavy duty mobile laptop computers <br />for the Police and Fire Departments. A total of $50,000.00 was budgeted for these <br />replacements. <br />This contract offers two options on personal computers, either Dell or Gateway, and <br />only one option of Dell on the heavy duty mobile computers. Staff are satisfied with <br />these brands. The following quotes were provided: <br />Personal Computers <br /> Dell Computers $27,092.35 $27,092.35 <br /> Gateway Computers $30,464.07 <br />Mobile Computers <br /> Panasonic Toughbooks $16,025.60 $16,025.60 <br />TOTAL $43,117.95 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is recommended that theCouncil approve purchasing 29 <br />personal computers and 4 Toughbooks from World Wide Technology in the amount <br />of $43,117.95. <br /> <br />
