October 30, 2007 <br />Ms. Joyce Pumm, City Clerk Re: Application for Text Amendment <br />City of University City 34-68 Placement of Video Facilities on <br />6801 Delmar Boulevard Private Property <br />University City, MO 63130 <br />Dear Ms. Pumm: <br /> At its regular meeting on October 24, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. in the Emergency Operations <br />Center of City Hall, 6801 Delmar Boulevard, the City Plan Commission conducted a public <br />hearing on an application by the City of University for a Text Amendment of Section 34-68 of <br />the Zoning Code concerning “Placement of Video Facilities on Private Property.” <br /> A motion was made by Mr. Kreishman, seconded by Mr. Miller and passed by a vote of 6 <br />to 0 that the Plan Commission recommend approval of the proposed text amendment as modified <br />by three items in the staff report, which are: <br />1) All references to the “Planning Director” shall be changed to the “Director of Community <br />Development.” <br />2) The definition of “Facilities Permit” shall be modified to state, “a permit granted by the City <br />for placement of Facilities on private property and shall be applied for as a building permit.” <br />3) The first sentence of proposed section 34-68.B.1 shall be modified to state, “Facilities <br />Permits. 1. Any Person desiring to place Facilities on private property must first apply for and <br />obtain a Facilities Permit (and shall be applied for as a building permit), in addition to any other <br />building permit, license, easement, franchise, or authorization required by law.” <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Steve Myers, Chairperson <br /> City Plan Commission <br />cc: Julie Feier, City Manager <br /> <br />
