Project Description <br /> <br />Washington University plans to address the pinch point at Bryan Hall during the summer of 2016. <br />Addressing this obstacle will allow the existing bridge and ramp to undergo needed improvements, <br />including the following: <br />Widen bridge and ramp to accommodate all users <br /> <br />Separate pedestrians and cyclists <br /> <br />Implement design feature to reduce the speed of cyclists <br /> <br />Design transition into existing walkway to be safe and efficient for all users <br /> <br />Remove cage around bridge to improve user experience <br /> <br />Provide more landscaping and green components to the area around the <br /> <br />ramp <br />Include pedestrian-scale lighting and emergency blue phones <br /> <br /> <br />The improved bridge will be 18-feet wide and will include a one-foot high concrete barrier separating <br />users.
