RESOLUTION 2007 - 15 <br />WHEREAS, the City of University City has determined that certain streetscape <br />design standards (known as the "Olive Boulevard Streetscape Standards") being <br />implemented along Olive Boulevard (within the City limits) are of significant <br />importance to the economic viability, public health, safety, order, convenience <br />and general welfare of the community and doing so is in the best interest of the <br />City to maintain an economically viable corridor along Olive Boulevard, and <br />WHEREAS, the City has executed an agreement for maintenance of Ornamental <br />Lighting, Paved Shoulder and Sidewalk Streetscape on Olive Boulevard within <br />the city limits with the Missouri Department of Transportation and St. Louis <br />County that are agencies with jurisdiction along Olive Boulevard. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MO AS FOLLOWS: <br />All new developments along Olive Boulevard shall include the Olive Boulevard <br />Streetscape Standards (attached and labeled "Exhibit A"). <br />Ingress and egress of all new developments along Olive Boulevard shall be <br />approved by the appropriate state and/or county agency. <br />The City Council hereby directs that the Director of Public Works shall enforce <br />the requirements of the Olive Boulevard Streetscape Standards per the <br />attached document (known as "Olive Boulevard Streetscape Standards" <br />and labeled "Exhibit A") for all new developments along Olive Boulevard under <br />the approved guidelines and standards therein. <br />The term "new developments" shall mean any new primary buildings that <br />require a special use permit (either a "site plan review" or "conditional use <br />permit") under Title 34 of the Municipal Code. <br />Moved by Councilmember ____________________________. <br />Seconded by Councilmember ____________________________ and carried. <br />Adopted this ______________ day of ________________________, 2007. <br />I hereby certify that the above is a true excerpt from the minutes of the meeting <br />of the City Council held on the ______________ day of <br />________________________, 2007. <br />________________________________________ <br /> <br />
