At the start of the new fiscal year in July, parking control attendants will be hired to <br />routinely ticket non-moving parking violators and will have a hand-held computer device <br />to alert them if a vehicle has multiple tickets. Violators with four or more unpaid tickets <br />will have their vehicle immobilized with a “boot”. The vehicle will remain immobilized <br />until all outstanding fines and penalties are paid. <br />Loop Ice Carnival <br />The third annual will take place Jan. 19, 10 AM to 6 PM. The Ice <br />Carnival will host snowboard bomb drop demos, a snowboard rail jam session, Red Bull <br />Winch Session, Live Ice Carving Demo, Human Dog Sled Races, 5-K Frozen Buns <br />Run, 10 Ice Sculptures, Chili Cook-Off, Winter Hat Contest, 2 Ice Slides for children, <br />Tour vintage Loop Trolley hosted by our own Stefany and Fred Brot, Fire Performers, <br />Ice Polar Bear & Ice Penguin photo ops, Snowball-Throwing Booths, Icebreaker Booths <br />and more. The day’s events will be followed by live entertainment at every Loop venue. <br /> <br />University Hills Women’s League <br />On Thursday, women from the delivered over 175 <br />Barbara C. Jordan Elementary School <br />new and slightly used library books to the <br />library <br />. Principal Ms. Sandra Bell, the librarian Ms. Bonner and several children <br />attended the presentation and had a great time talking about their favorite books and <br />how the League can continue to help this wonderful school have a first class library for <br />its children.
