Would there be a down side having the work done in the winter versus the spring <br />or summer? <br />Ms. MacCartney said the winter is preferred by the contractor and would provide <br />the least interruptions. <br /> <br />Other items answered were: <br />? <br /> There will only be one live tree removed on fairway eight. <br />? <br /> The netting on the “old tree” will be placed outside the tree’s drip line in order to <br />protect its root system. <br />? <br /> The netting lifetime is longer than RFP’s requirement. It has a 15 year lifetime, which <br />would mean that it may need some repairs in year five to seven. <br />? <br /> The poles to support the net are 74 feet high and sunk ten feet into the ground. <br />? <br /> Ms. MacCartney said that she would be the “watch dog” on the contractor to be sure <br />it is kept on tract. <br />? <br /> Ms. MacCartney said that she built in a $15,000 contingency fund as all construction <br />has over-runs. With this the project came in at $25,000 under projected cost. <br />? <br /> The projected number of balls to be used on the driving range was 400,000 but Mr. <br />Glickert projected it to be more like 250,000. <br />? <br /> Partnership talk with Brittany School is being undertaken in trying to incorporate a <br />golf program in their curriculum. <br /> <br /> <br />The Study Session was adjourned at 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Joyce Pumm, City Clerk <br /> <br />
