Session 1869 MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL FEBRUARY 24, 2003 At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers of City Hall on Monday, February 24, 2003, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: Ms. Cassandra Colquitt Mr. Wayne Munkel Mr. Larry Lieberman Ms. Shelley Welsch Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. Mr. Robert Wagner EXCUSED: Mr. Frank Ollendorff, City Manager. Also present was Mr. Willie Norfleet, who attended as the Acting City Manager. MINUTES: Councilmember Sharpe made the motion to accept the Minutes of the February 10, 2003 regular meeting minutes. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion. Ms. Welsch said that she had forwarded several changes to Ms. Forsythe earlier in the week and asked that the minutes be corrected accordingly. The motion to approve the amended minutes were carried unanimously. APPOINTMENTS/REAPPOINTMENTS: Councilmember Lieberman moved for the ratification of the election of Shawn Jacobs (Cicero's), Eleanor Ruder (Componere) and Tom Lieberman (H.S.B. Tobacconist) to the University City Loop Special Business District Advisory Commission. Mr. Wagner seconded his motion. It was approved unanimously. Councilmember Shelley Welsch made a motion to ratify the election of Lieutenant Carol Jackson as the Police Department representative to the Board of Trustees of the Police and Firemen's Retirement Fund. She will replace Mr. Queen. Mr. Lieberman seconded the motion; it was approved unanimously. OATH OF OFFICE: The Mayor called on Mr. Raymond Creer to come forward. The City Clerk, Leisha Forsythe, administered the oath for his re-appointment to the Traffic Commission.
