Session 1869 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 24, 2003 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council <br />Chambers of City Hall on Monday, February 24, 2003, Mayor Joseph L. Adams <br />called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following <br />members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br />Mr. Wayne Munkel <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Ms. Shelley Welsch <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> <br />EXCUSED: Mr. Frank Ollendorff, City Manager. Also present was Mr. Willie <br />Norfleet, who attended as the Acting City Manager. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Councilmember Sharpe made the motion to accept the Minutes of the February <br />10, 2003 regular meeting minutes. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion. Ms. <br />Welsch said that she had forwarded several changes to Ms. Forsythe earlier in <br />the week and asked that the minutes be corrected accordingly. The motion to <br />approve the amended minutes were carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS/REAPPOINTMENTS: <br /> <br />Councilmember Lieberman moved for the ratification of the election of Shawn <br />Jacobs (Cicero's), Eleanor Ruder (Componere) and Tom Lieberman (H.S.B. <br />Tobacconist) to the University City Loop Special Business District Advisory <br />Commission. Mr. Wagner seconded his motion. It was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmember Shelley Welsch made a motion to ratify the election of <br />Lieutenant Carol Jackson as the Police Department representative to the Board <br />of Trustees of the Police and Firemen's Retirement Fund. She will replace Mr. <br />Queen. Mr. Lieberman seconded the motion; it was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE: <br /> <br />The Mayor called on Mr. Raymond Creer to come forward. The City Clerk, <br />Leisha Forsythe, administered the oath for his re-appointment to the Traffic <br />Commission. <br /> <br /> <br />
