6.a. Council Liaison Report <br /> <br />Councilmember Glickert provided an update on the City Manager position, stating that <br />ultimately two candidates were selected from 52 total applicants; however, one of the final <br />two candidates decided to withdraw. He stated that the Council anticipates announcing a <br />new City Manager in mid-November. Councilmember Glickert stated that a social gathering <br />will be held for the public to meet the potential new City Manager and further stated that the <br />City Clerk position will be addressed once the City Manager position has been filled. Mr. <br />Glickert announced two public meetings at which the MSD storage tanks would be <br />discussed: Wednesday, October 25 at 6:30 p.m. or Monday, October 30, 2017 6:30 p.m. <br />Both are held at the Mandarin House Banquet Hall - 8004 Olive Boulevard and people need <br />only attend one meeting. <br /> <br />6.b. Department Report: Update from staff <br /> <br />Ms. Riganti provided an update on the consideration of establishing an Architectural Review <br />Board in University City. She explained the role of the current Infill Review Board and <br />stated that City Council has requested a study on potentially replacing this Board with an <br />Architectural Review Board following the appointment of a City Manager. Ms. Riganti <br />provided an update on the Loop Trolley stating that the development company is still <br />RFP for Olive Boulevard and I-170 is still in negotiations with the development company <br />that responded, and a consultant will be hired by the City to study the proposed area on <br />qualifications and conditions in anticipation for a request of public incentives. <br /> <br />Ms. Marin asked staff to ensure that the HPC agenda and materials were placed on the <br />r.
