Session 1889 <br />June 23, 2003 <br /> <br />BILL 8658 - AMENDING CHAPTER 2.64 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO THE NONUNIFORMED <br />EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM, BY AMENDING SECTION <br />2.64.090 THEREOF, RELATING TO NORMAL SERVICE RETIREMENT, <br />SO AS TO AUTHORIZE NORMAL SERVICE RETIREMENT FOR <br />CERTAIN EMPLOYEES WITH THIRTY (30) YEARS OF SERVICE <br />REGARDLESS OF THEIR AGE, AND INCREASE THE PENSION OF <br />PARTICIPANTS WHO TERMINATED ON OR AFTER JANUARY 1, 2003. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch moved to adopt the bill. Ms. Colquitt seconded. The roll vote was a <br />follows: AYES: Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Ms. Welsch, Mr. <br />Sharpe, Ms. Colquitt and Mayor Adams. NAYS: None. Bill Number 8658 was <br />adopted and became Ordinance Number 6427. <br /> <br />BILL 8659 - AMENDING CHAPTER 2.62 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO THE POLICE AND FIREFIGHTER'S <br />RETIREMENT SYSTEM, BY AMENDING SECTION 2.62.080 RELATING <br />TO IMPLEMENTATION OF AN EARLY RETIREMENT PROGRAM FOR <br />CERTAIN EMPLOYEES. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />The motion to adopt the bill was made by Mr. Wagner and seconded by Mr. <br />Munkel. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, <br />Ms. Welsch, Mr. Sharpe, Ms. Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mayor Adams NAYS: <br />None. Bill Number 8659 was adopted and became Ordinance number 6428. <br /> <br />BILL 8660 - FIXING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO CITY <br />OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES AS ENUMERATED HEREIN FROM AND <br />AFTER JUNE 18, 2003 AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6364. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved for adoption.
