Session 1891 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />July 7, 2003 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall, on Monday, June 23, 2003, Mayor Joseph Adams called the meeting to <br />order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of Council were <br />present: <br /> <br />Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br />Mr. Wayne Munkel (7:40 p.m.) <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Ms. Shelley Welsch <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was the City Manager, Mr. Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved to approve the Minutes of the June 23, 2003 regular session. Ms. <br />Welsch seconded the motion. Ms. Welsch offered several clarifications and corrections <br />to the minutes. Ms. Colquitt did not agree with some of Ms. Welsch's clarifications. Mr. <br />Wagner said that a paragraph of his comments were missing on his position on the <br />mosquito spraying issue. Mayor Adams suggested that each Councilmember write up <br />their suggested changes for the City Clerk. The minutes were not approved. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved the appointment of John McDonnell, 519 Westview, to the Historic <br />Preservation Commission for an unexpired term ending September 9, 2004. Mr. <br />Sharpe seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />At this point, Mr. Munkel took his seat at 7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE: <br /> <br />City Clerk Leisha Meine Forsythe administered the oath of office to Joseph Mitchell, <br />Library Board and Irene Mitchell - Arts and Letters Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams thanked both of these individuals for their willingness to serve the City in <br />this important capacity. <br /> <br /> <br />
