Session 1891 <br />July 7, 2003 <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENT: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams announced that the Concert in Heman Park starts tonight. Last Tuesday <br />the Summer Band in the Loop concerts began, which are held in the Market area. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM # 1 -CONSENT CALENDAR: <br /> <br />1) Micro-Surfacinq and Thermoplastic Stripin.q: The tabulation of bid proposals for the <br />above named project is as follows: <br /> <br />1. Micro-Surfacing, Inc. $206,661.30 <br />2. Missouri Petroleum Products Co. $259,334.42 <br />3. Engineers Estimate $265,413.25 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended that this project be awarded to Micro-surfacing, Inc. for <br />their bid of $206,661.30. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved adoption of the consent calendar. Mr. Sharpe seconded the motion, <br />which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM # 2 - FIREFIGHTER'S UNION MEMORANDUM OF <br /> <br />UNDERSTANDING: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended approval of revised memoranda of understanding with the <br />firefighters and the fire captains. Revisions have been made in accordance with the <br />recently adopted compensation ordinance for these classifications. Adjustments include <br />increases in rates of compensation as well as reducing the time and service <br />requirements for longevity pay steps. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch moved approval. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM # 3 - UNIVERSITY CITY RESIDENTIAL SERVICES CONTRACT: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended approving the contract listing the annual budget <br />appropriation of $68,000 and adding the current paid inspection requirement for all <br />listings which was authorized last year but not included in the contract. In addition to <br />this annual appropriation the City Council has budgeted up to $2,000 for reimbursement <br />to UCRS for floor repair cost. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch moved approval.
