Session 1894 <br />August 18, 2003 <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner requested that Mr. Sedlak return in three month's time, without <br />prejudice, to determine exact safety issues for delivery drivers in order to have <br />more information regarding his requests for extended hours. Mr. Sedlak agreed <br />to this suggestion. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman moved that the Conditional Use Permit be granted, and Mr. <br />Sharpe seconded the motion. It was passed unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #4 - CITY HALL CENTENNIAL <br /> <br />The Historical Society of University City wishes to announce and issue a public <br />invitation to a 100th anniversary event. The cornerstone for this Women's <br />Magazine Building was dedicated August 29, 1903. <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff announced that Mr. Ralph Bowser, representing the University City <br />Historical Society would share plans for the ensuing programs. <br /> <br />Ralph Bowser, 8050 Teasdale Avenue, said August 29, 2003 celebrates the <br />hundredth anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone for the Edward Gardner <br />Lewis Publishing Company headquarters and Women's Magazine building. A <br />short program will note this event and he invited members of the Council and <br />citizens to join in this and in ensuing events culminating in the anniversary of the <br />setting up of University City in 2006. He asked that a city representative be <br />present and advise the Historical Society who will attend. Mayor Adams <br />encouraged Council members to attend. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #5 - SUNDAY LIQUOR LICENSE - LA PIAZZA AT 7401 <br /> <br />PERSHING <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended approval of license to sell all types of alcoholic <br />beverages by the drink on Sunday in addition to the existing license granted <br />three years ago. There have been no reported problems at this location. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved to approve this license. It was seconded by Mr. Munkel and <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #6 - CONDITIONAL USE VEHICLE PARTS STORE AND <br /> <br />SERVICE AT 6637 OLIVE <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff announced the Plan Commission recommends approval to use <br />this existing building for an automotive accessory parts store with limited <br />installation of car stereos, sunroofs, and car alarms.
