Session 1900 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />November 3, 2003 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall, on Monday, November 3, 2003, Mayor Joseph Adams called the meeting to <br />order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of Council were <br />present: <br /> <br />Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br />Mr. Wayne Munkel <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Ms. Shelley Welsch <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present were the City Manager, Mr. Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner noted a correction to the minutes on page five: instead of a "three bag pick- <br />up" it should read "free bag pick-up", and then he moved to approve the minutes of the <br />regular council meeting held October 20, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Sharpe seconded the <br />motion and it carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved to appoint James Sutton, 7825 Milan, to the Park Commission for a <br />term ending January 21, 2006. Mr. Sharpe seconded the motion and it was passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />OATHS <br /> <br />Gwendolyn Gaines Beckwith took the oath of office to serve on the Library Board of <br />Trustees and Mayor Adams thanked her for her willingness to serve. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM # 1 - CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />1. Playground Equipment For Kinqsland Park: Bids have been received to provide new <br />playground equipment for Kingsland Park. An estimate of $24,000.00 was budgeted by <br />the Parks Department. Four recreational equipment companies were invited to <br />compete. Three bids were received. The results were as follows: <br /> <br />Roger J. Hutchinson $23,477.00 <br /> <br /> <br />
