Session 1901 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />November 17, 2003 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall, on Monday, November 17, 2003, Mayor Joseph Adams called the meeting <br />to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of Council were <br />present: <br /> Mr. Wayne Munkel <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Larry Lieberman <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present were the City Manager, Mr. Frank Ollendorff, and the Assistant City <br />Manager, Thomas Moton. Excused: Ms. Shelley Welsch and Ms. Cassandra Colquitt. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner offered a correction to the minutes, specifically on page 5, where the words <br />read" the first accommodations law (insert the words "and open housing <br />resolutions") were passed insuring open business accommodation and fair housing to <br />people of all colors and races." He asked that these changes be included to reflect <br />what he meant to say. Then Mr. Wagner moved to approve the minutes, as corrected, <br />of the regular Council meeting held November 3, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Sharpe <br />seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OATHS <br /> <br />James Sutton took the oath of office to serve on the Park Commission for a term of <br />three years, ending January 21, 2006. Mayor Adams thanked him for his service for <br />University City. Next, Blair Watts was sworn in as Paramedic Fire Captain with the <br />University City Fire Department, and Mayor Adams congratulated and thanked him for <br />his service to the City. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM # 1 - CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />1. Rehab Alley - Plymouth to Avalon <br /> <br />Bids for the above named project are as follows: <br /> <br />R.V. Wagner, Inc. <br />Midwest Mud jacking <br />JRW Construction, Inc. <br />Gershenson Construction Co. <br /> <br />$29,217.80 <br />$31,390.00 <br />$32,840.00 <br />$44,314.88 <br /> <br /> <br />
