Session 1901 <br />November 17, 2003 <br /> <br />Engineers Estimate <br /> <br />$27,400.00 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended that this project be awarded to R.V. Wagner for their Iow <br />bid of $29,217.80. CDBG funds are available for 90% of this cost. <br /> <br />2. Recreation Facility Desi,qn Consultant contract <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended confirmation of a contract with Jacobs Facilities Inc. for <br />renovation, new construction, and site work at Heman Park recreation facilities. The <br />contract includes analysis of all elements determined desirable by the City Council as <br />summarized in the concept statement adopted September 15, 2003 in conformity with <br />the Resolution on Implementation of Proposition K, with fee 7.5% plus reimbursable <br />expenses. <br /> <br />3. Bike Route and Olive Blvd. Streetscape Phase I <br /> <br />The tabulation of bid proposals is as follows: <br /> <br />Gershenson Construction <br />R.V. Wagner, Inc. <br />Schuster Engineering, Inc. <br />Kozeny-Wagner, Inc. <br /> <br />$1,048,220.00 <br />$1,100,276.16 <br />$1,293,048.20 <br />$1,212,640.00 <br /> <br />Funding for this project is from Federal and City Funds. Mr. Ollendorff recommended <br />that this project be awarded to Gershenson Construction., (subject to MoDOT's <br />concurrence) for their Iow bid of $1,048,220.00. The City's match is 21.2% with <br />$83,888.00 budgeted for this fiscal year and the remainder must be in next fiscal year's <br />budget. This project is scheduled to begin in March 2004 if we receive all <br />approvals/concurrences. <br /> <br />4. Park Department Recreation software, related hardware and trainin,q <br /> <br />Approval for subject requirement was obtained from the City Council August 18, 2003. <br />Contract review revealed significant product ambiguities that made specification <br />compliance and final cost uncertain. Proposals were re-solicited with precise <br />specifications.
