Joe Edwards, 6504 Delmar <br />Mr. Edwards was present to represent the Loop Special Business District’s <br />concern with the City considering charging parking fees on the City’s parking lots <br />in the Loop. It was felt that the Loop businesses would be hurt in attendance if <br />customers would have to pay to park. <br />Stephan Glickert, 7750 Blackberry <br />Mr. Glickert questioned the City starting and or continuing a project without the <br />proper permits, as the City would not hesitate to stop a project immediately when <br />proper permits had not be acquired from the City. He also questioned areas <br />owned by the City that would require screening but none were in place. <br />N. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Ms. Brot talked about the Healthcare for All celebration on April 19. She <br />encouraged City Manager Feier to increase the funding for the city’s home <br />improvement loans that presently have a two year waiting list. Ms. Brot <br />congratulated Mr. Dockett on his nomination into the Vashon High School Hall of <br />Fame on May 4. She encouraged Council to talk more about the Green Task <br />Force and to nominate residents for this commission to discuss and form green <br />guidelines. Ms. Brot thanked all Council and residents for a great four years <br />which she has experienced as part of the University City Council. <br />Mr. Price requested a report from City Manager to show comparisons of the <br />revenues that could be gained by increasing recycling efforts. <br />Ms. Ricci asked the City Manager to include in any publications possible, advice <br />to citizens of ways to help prevent sewer overruns. Ms. Ricci thanked Ms. Brot <br />for her hard work on the Council and wished her well in the election <br />Mr. Wagner also emphasized the need for recycling. He mentioned the pleasure <br />it was working with Ms. Brot for the past four years, and wished her well in the <br />election. <br />Mayor Adams wished all running in the Municipal Election on April 8, much <br />success. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m <br />Joyce Pumm, City Clerk <br /> <br />
