Joe Edwards, 6504 Delmar Mr. Edwards was present to represent the Loop Special Business District’s concern with the City considering charging parking fees on the City’s parking lots in the Loop. It was felt that the Loop businesses would be hurt in attendance if customers would have to pay to park. Stephan Glickert, 7750 Blackberry Mr. Glickert questioned the City starting and or continuing a project without the proper permits, as the City would not hesitate to stop a project immediately when proper permits had not be acquired from the City. He also questioned areas owned by the City that would require screening but none were in place. N. COUNCIL COMMENTS Ms. Brot talked about the Healthcare for All celebration on April 19. She encouraged City Manager Feier to increase the funding for the city’s home improvement loans that presently have a two year waiting list. Ms. Brot congratulated Mr. Dockett on his nomination into the Vashon High School Hall of Fame on May 4. She encouraged Council to talk more about the Green Task Force and to nominate residents for this commission to discuss and form green guidelines. Ms. Brot thanked all Council and residents for a great four years which she has experienced as part of the University City Council. Mr. Price requested a report from City Manager to show comparisons of the revenues that could be gained by increasing recycling efforts. Ms. Ricci asked the City Manager to include in any publications possible, advice to citizens of ways to help prevent sewer overruns. Ms. Ricci thanked Ms. Brot for her hard work on the Council and wished her well in the election Mr. Wagner also emphasized the need for recycling. He mentioned the pleasure it was working with Ms. Brot for the past four years, and wished her well in the election. Mayor Adams wished all running in the Municipal Election on April 8, much success.
