<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />To: Honorable Mayor Adams and City Council <br /> <br />From: Julie Feier, City Manager (by Petree Eastman) <br /> <br />Date: April 25, 2008 <br /> <br />Subject: Weekly Update <br /> <br /> <br />St. Louis County Highways and Traffic Department has reviewed the City and Partridge <br />Heights Neighborhood Association’s request to ease the no parking restrictions along <br />Full-timeparking prohibitions <br />Midland between Canton and Olive. will remain in place <br />on the east side of Midland from Olive northward to Melrose Ave. and from 200 feet <br />south of Canton northward to Canton and on the west side of Midland, from Canton <br />Ave. southward 250 feet and from Melrose southward to Olive Blvd. However, parking <br />part timeparking <br />restrictions in between will be less restrictive. There will be only <br />restrictions on the east side of Midland from Melrose northward to 200 feet south of <br />Canton from 4 pm to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. There will also only be part time <br />restrictions on the west side of Midland from 250 feet south of Canton southward to <br />Melrose from 7 am to 9 am and 4 pm to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. <br /> <br />Canton bridge <br />Due to record-breaking rains in March and April, the reconstruction has <br />been extended. The contractor, R.V. Wagner, is also encountering solid rock, increasing <br />drilling work. Additional time will be needed to complete the project. As a result, Public <br />Works is expecting the bridge construction work to continue through June 2008. <br /> <br />U City in Bloom <br />Don’t forget: on Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27 from 9 am to 1 pm <br />Perennial Plant Sale <br />will be holding its annual at Heman Park Community Center <br />located at Pennsylvania & Vernon Avenues. Information will be available <br />about senior living, geriatric care management, adult day centers, brain exercises, <br />financial planning, reverse mortgages, home care services and much more.
