million or 18.79% of operating expenditures by the end of FY 09. For capital projects, <br />the District expects to have small deficit of $11,500. It projects to spend approximately <br />$840,000 on various capital needs including $420,000 for computers/printers and <br />$89,000 for high school air conditioners. The School Board also considered whether or <br />not to rollback their tax rates. In years past, they have voluntarily rolled back to rates <br />substantially less than the maximum allowable rates. However, because their <br />expenditures are expected to outstrip their revenues, the Director of Finance asked for <br />direction as to whether the Board would consider not rolling back the rates or only <br />partially rolling back the rates to provide some additional tax revenue. The Board <br />preliminarily decided, again, to rollback their rates to the current rates. A final decision <br />th <br />will be made at their August 28 Board Meeting.
