So we thought to add to this Weekly Report all the volunteer
opportunities and need that is out there currently. Did you know that volunteering
makes people happier? So, let’s keep U City the great place it is: volunteer a bit of
your time to:

-St Louis County’s County Older Resident Program-seek volunteers to drive
CORP

seniors to their non-emergency medical appointments. They so enjoy the company
and you make a nice friend while doing it. City Employees can use their wellness
hours to volunteer for this activity. Contact CORP at 862-2306 (mileage
reimbursed).
-Just look around the City and see all the beautiful gardens, well
U City in Bloom

those are put in by UCB volunteers. The plants now need water during the long hot
summer, unless it rains, like it is today. So give us a hand in making our City
gorgeous and the envy of all the other cities around us. Call Mary Ann Shaw 560-
4739.
-the City wants to be green, but we need a plan, and
Green Practice Committee

we need volunteers to develop it. Call Petree Eastman at 505-8535.
- Let’s have a grand ole party for our
Lions’ Gates 100 Birthday Celebration

gates of opportunity. Party planners and proud U-Citians wanted. Call Petree
Eastman at 505-8535.
