The main <br />focus of the grant program is to dissuade impressionable young people from taking on a <br />life of wrongdoing and steer clear through mentoring. The City has partnered with the <br />University City Public Schools and the St. Louis Family Court to identify youth who <br />would benefit from this type of program and our two juvenile detectives work in concert <br />with the above organizations in mentoring the youth. <br /> <br />2008 University City <br />The Arts and Letters Commission is calling for entries for the <br />Photo Show. <br />The showis open to amateur adult and youth (twelfth grade and <br />younger) photographers in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Selected photographs <br />chosen from the entries may be used in the 2010 University City calendar. In order to be <br />considered for the calendar, photos must be taken in U. City. Entries will be accepted at <br />Centennial Commons, 7210 Olive: October 3 from 6 to 8 pm and October 4 from 9:30 <br />am to 2 pm. Photo Show Reception and Awards will be held at Centennial Commons, <br />Sunday, October 19 at 2 pm.
