<br /> <br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />July 7, 2008 <br /> <br /> <br />At the Special Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers of the <br />City Hall, on Monday, July 7, 2008, Mayor Adams called the meeting to order at 5:00 <br />p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Terry Crow <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br />Mr. Byron Price arrived at 5:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Also in attendance was Deputy City Manager/Finance Director Janet Watson in place of <br />Ms. Julie Feier who was out on maternity leave. <br /> <br />D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />E. APPOINTMENTS <br /> <br />F. SWEARING IN <br /> <br />G. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />1. Rezoning of 7384 Forsyth <br />The Public Hearing was opened at 5:15 p.m. There was no one present to <br />speak. The Public Hearing was closed at 5:17 p.m. <br /> <br />H. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />I. CITY MANAGER’S REPORT <br />1. Telephone Survey was added to the agenda by Ms. Watson.. She stated that <br />she and Ms. Feier worked with Terry Jones the last few days on the questions for <br />the telephone survey. Ms. Watson said she just received the finalized questions <br />earlier this morning and made some minor modifications and have distributed the <br />final questions that would be asked to the Council this evening. Mr. Jones was <br />made aware of the time frame the Council wanted to work with, so he moved <br />back another survey in order to begin it this evening of July 7. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner interjected stating that it was his understanding that the Council <br />would look at the survey questions before they were actually used. <br /> <br />Ms. Watson said the survey would include four hundred registered voters from <br />University City, equally distributed among the three wards. The cost of the <br />survey was $8,800, paid from the amount budgeted for the ballot consultant. The <br />cost was based on the number of questions asked and the number of people <br />surveyed. Mr. Jones is unable to make the next Council session on July 21. <br />Another date was proposed for a work session on the survey’s results for July 28, <br />at which Mr. Jones could be present.
