problem. Although the number of homes involved changes daily, the County estimates <br />that between 2,000 and 3,000 vacant foreclosed properties exist. An estimated 8,000 <br />properties in the County will be foreclosed on in 2007 and 2008. The County maintains <br />a complete listing. There are 83 such properties in University City. The Focus of the <br />briefing will be in three core areas; prevention, property maintenance, and home resale. <br />The August 4 meeting is designed to present some data collected by the County and <br />further explore strategies with municipal officials.
