Already in place, for FY08, Public Works has budgeted about $5,420 for public <br />education activities. These activities include the annual recycling promotional items re- <br />order, re-printing current brochures, online website updates, promotions and contests, <br />staff participation in community events/meetings, and updates to Channel 10 and the U- <br />City electronic boards, as follows: <br />In-House Public Education Activities <br />Channel 10n/a <br />U. City Electronic Boardsn/a <br />Speakers Bureau/Community Events - comp timen/a <br />Promotional Items for schools/events$1,800 <br />Printing of Various Brochures - Annual Supply$3,500 <br />U. City web site promotions $120 <br />Continue to post seasonal spotlights with partner communities, such as <br />recycling special holiday materials, electronics and household <br />hazardous materials with St. Louis County. <br />n/a <br />Total In-House (already in annual budget)$5,420 <br /> <br />In addition, the September trash bill will include the attached recycling brochure without <br />significantly increasing our budget and our old residential recycling bins are being <br />distributed to each classroom in the School District. I need to know if Council wishes to <br />amend the budget to accommodate the marketing campaign, and if so for $19,500 or <br />$42,530. This event is always well attended and <br />promises a good time for all pet owners. You can pick up membership information for <br />the park along with picking up your dog tags on the first floor of City Hall. The dog play <br />area is funded and organized solely by community dog lovers. To use the park, <br />volunteer, or get additional information on the event please feel free to contact a <br />member of the organization directly at u-city@stldogparks.org <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
