<br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Mr. Price asked the City Manager to contact the St. Louis County Health <br />Department to look into the possibility of increased mosquito infestation. He also <br />emphasized the need to contact State Legislators to obtain help on the Federal <br />level. Mr. Price also stated that there would be dumpsters out for the flood <br />victims until their clean-up job was completed. <br /> <br />2. Fleet Management Request For Proposal (RFP) <br />City Manager Ms. Feier stated that anyone interested in sitting in on interviews <br />for the RFP on Fleet Management, to contact her. <br /> <br />J. Bill 9006 - An ordinance of the City of University City, Missouri amending <br />City Ordinance No. 6722 and Titles V and XII of the Municipal Code <br />regarding the regulation and permitting of news’ boxes. <br /> <br />2. Mr. Sharpe, Jr. introduced <br />Bill 9007 - An ordinance of the City of University City, Missouri for the <br />installation of an emergency vehicle pre-emption signal system between <br />the City of University City and the Missouri Highways and Transportation <br />Commission. <br /> <br />3. Mr. Crow introduced <br />Bill 9008 - An ordinance amending Chapter 2.34 of the Municipal Code of <br />the City of University City relating to the City’s Tax Increment Financing <br />Commission <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />4. Resolution 2008 – 12 Approving Request For Proposal (RFP) and Funding <br />Agreement for Kingsland Place. <br /> <br />Director of Community Development Mr. Walker briefly outlined the content of the <br />proposal for Community Development. The proposal deals with the preliminary <br />funding for the property on Kingsland Ave and Vernon. The proposal for the <br />development includes 65 new residential living units and 18,000 square feet of <br />retail space proposed by Metropolitan Development, Mr. Jay Simon. Council is <br />being asked to approve the preliminary funding agreement, which provides funds <br />to the City to be reimbursed for the blighting study and the redevelopment plan. <br />The RFP will be due by October 30. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />Carol Mitchell, 1939 Dovershire Ct. <br />Mr. Mitchell was the owner of the King’s Day Care Center on 848 Kingsland. <br />She was present to state that they will be relocating if Resolution 2008 – 12 was <br />approved. <br /> <br />
