INTRODUCED BY: DATE: January 26, 2009 <br />BILL NO.______ ORDINANCE NO.___________ <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.36 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL <br />CODE, RELATING TO REGULATIONS FOR SPECIFIC STREETS, BY REPEALING <br />SECTION 10.36.090 THEREOF, RELATING TO STOP INTERSECTIONS – VEHICLES TO <br />STOP AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW <br />SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS “SECTION 10.36.090 STOP INTERSECTIONS – VEHICLES <br />TO STOP AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS” THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS <br />FOR TRAFFIC TO STOP ON CANTON AVENUE AT THE INTERSECTION WITH <br />MENDELL DR; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of University City, MISSOURI, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Chapter 10.36 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to Stop intersections - <br />Vehicles to stop at certain intersections, is hereby amended by repealing Section 10.36.090 thereof, <br />relating to Stop intersections -Vehicles to stop at certain intersections, and enacting in lieu thereof a <br />new section to be known as “Section 10.36.090 Stop intersections -Vehicles to stop at certain <br />intersections,” thereby amending said section so as for traffic to stop on Canton Ave. at the <br />intersection with Mendell Dr; so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: <br />10.36.090 Stop intersections—Vehicles to stop at certain intersections. <br />The following street intersections are designated as stop intersections for certain entrances thereto <br />within the meaning of this title. Every operator of a vehicle or other conveyance proceeding on streets <br />listed in the lefthand column below shall stop such vehicles or other conveyance before entering or <br />crossing the street opposite in the righthand column below: <br />Ahern Avenue <br />Groby Road <br />Ahern Avenue <br />Mt.
