FOCUS St. Louis. The meeting will be the first of three such special meetings aimed at <br />engaging families, community and staff in discussions about racial attitudes and class <br />and the impact such issues have on education and student achievement. Bridges <br />Across Racial Polarization is considered an innovative program that builds increased <br />communication and understanding among people of various racial and ethnic <br />backgrounds. Due to an equipment failure and errors by the US <br />Postal Service at the downtown St. Louis office, many of the brochures were not <br />delivered until this week. This was not the fault of our printer or the University City Post <br />Office. We have identified a number of ways in which we can assure prompt delivery of <br />future issues. We apologize for the delay in delivery and the resulting cancelation of <br />some of the winter session classes. <br />Kirkwood will hold a Remembrance Ceremony on Saturday, Feb. 7 <br />, marking the <br />one-year anniversary of the shootings at Kirkwood City Hall. The ceremony will be held <br />on the steps of Kirkwood City Hall, 139 S. Kirkwood Road, beginning at 7PM. <br />Local ministers coordinated and will lead the event, candles will be lit by members of the <br />Kirkwood City Council as the name of each public servant who lost his or her life on <br />Feb. 7, 2008, is announced by Mayor Art McDonnell.
