known as “Chapter 15.07 Plumbing Code”; thereby amending Chapter 15.07 as <br />to adopt the International Plumbing Code, 2006 edition, with certain changes <br />thereto; containing a savings clause and providing a penalty. <br />Introduced by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. <br />8. <br />BILL 9035 - An ordinance amending Chapter 8.12.240(a) of the University City <br />Municipal Code, relating to delinquent fees-special tax bill issued to person failing <br />to pay, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section 8.12.240(a) thereby amending <br />said section so as to permit the Director of Finance to issue a special tax bill after <br />90 days refuse fees are delinquent or 120 days after the refuse bill is issued. <br />Introduced by Mr. Crow <br />9. <br />BILL 9036- An ordinance amending Chapter 10.36 of the University City <br />Municipal Code, relating to regulations for specific streets, by repealing Section <br />10.36.190 thereof, relating to through traffic prohibited on certain streets at all <br />times or during designated hours and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be <br />known as “Section 10.36.190 through traffic prohibited on certain streets at all <br />times or during designated hours,” thereby amending said section so as to <br />prohibit through traffic at all times on Liberty Avenue from Hanley to the north city <br />limits; containing a saving clause and providing a penalty. <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />10. <br />Resolution 2009 – 4 Support Prop U for University City Schools <br />Mr. Price moved to accept Resolution 2009 - 4 <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />Rod Jennings, 1306 Mr. Olive <br />Mr. Jennings was present to ask people to vote Prop U. no tax increase <br />bond issue <br />Ms. Joy Lynn Wilson, 8136 Groby Rd <br />Ms. Wilson was present to ask people to support University City schools <br />and vote for Prop U <br />Richard Dockett, 6844 Crest Ave. <br />Mr. Dockett thanked the Council for bringing forth the Resolution for <br />support of Prop U. <br />Kristin Sobotka, 7180 Delmar <br />Ms. Sobotka cahir of support of Prop U and thanked all for considering the <br />children of University City schools. <br />Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel <br />Ms. Glickert opposed passing of Resolution 2009 – 4. She felt school <br />meetings to encourage support of Prop U did not allow any public dialog. <br />She also asked the City Manager to look into the legality of a school board <br />candidate who was using the Lions, City logo, on their campaign sign. <br />Mr. Price supported Prop U and always would support children and their <br />school system and knows the importance of University Schools improving <br />their aging buildings and equipment. <br /> <br />
