(SECTION E3801 RECEPTACLE OUTLETS) E3801.11 HVAC outlet. A 125-volt, single-phase, 15- or 20- ampere-rated receptacle outlet shall be installed at an accessible location for the servicing of heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment. The receptacle shall be located on the same level and within 25 feet (7620 mm) of the heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment. The receptacle outlet shall not be connected to the load side of the HVAC equipment disconnecting means. Exception: 1.A receptacle outlet shall not be required for the servicing of evaporative coolers. 2.Replacement of existing mechanical equipment with like equipment not requiring re- wiring that is either in the basement or at grade on the exterior shall not require the installation of the HVAC outlet. SECTION R403 FOOTINGS () R403.1.4.1 Frost protection . Except where otherwise protected from frost, foundation walls, piers and other permanent supports of buildings and structures shall be protected from frost by one or more of the following methods: 1. Extended below the frost line of 30” below grade. 2. Constructed in accordance with ASCE 32; or 3. Erected on solid rock. Exception : Free standing structures of less than 125 square feet in area and less than 10 feet in height. Section 2. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, firm or corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of Chapter 15.01, nor bar the prosecution for any such violation. Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in Chapter 1.12, Section 1.12.010 of the University City Municipal Code. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage as provided by law. 10
