Session 1922 <br />May 17, 2004 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />Pursuant to a previous City Resolution requiring the Mayor to designate and the Council <br />to vote on a Mayor pro tempore, Mayor Adams announced a Resolution designating <br />Councilmember Robert Wagner of the First Ward to serve as Mayor pro tempore of the <br />City of University City. Mr. Sharpe moved to approve this Resolution for Mr. Wagner to <br />serve in this capacity for the next two years. Ms. Brot seconded the motion, which <br />passed with six AYE votes, and Mr. Wagner voting NAY. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams congratulated Mr. Wagner and thanked him for serving in this capacity. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM #1 - Consent Calendar <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff said that there were six items on the Consent Calendar; the seventh was <br />removed to allow for discussion. The six items recommended for approval included: <br /> <br />Picnic Liquor License - UCRS <br /> <br />The City Manager recommended approval of the annual picnic liquor license for UCRS <br />to sell beer at the St. Louis Music Awards program on Sunday, June 6, 2004 in the 500 <br />block of Leland. Similar activities have taken place in the past without adverse <br />consequences. <br /> <br />2004-2005 Annual Order - Concrete Products <br /> <br />Bids for furnishing eight concrete products for the 2004-2005 fiscal year have been <br />received. These products include various types of sand and cements for street, park <br />and golf course maintenance projects. Invitations to bid were sent to fourteen possible <br />sources with the following responses: <br /> <br />St. Charles Sand <br />BWI <br />Raineri <br />Johnny Mac's <br /> <br />$ 2,795.00 (5 no bid) <br />$1,780.00 (7 no bid) <br />$19,273.50 <br />$ 2,500.00 (7 no bid) <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended splitting the award among the vendors for each item which <br />they were Iow. The breakdown is as follows: $1,780.00 to BWI, $2,795.00 to St. Charles <br />Sand, and $15,598.50 to Raineri Building Materials. <br /> <br />2004-2005 Annual Order - Asphalt Products <br /> <br />Bids for furnishing asphalt products for the 2004-2005 fiscal year have received. <br />Invitations to bid were sent to eight possible sources with the following responses: <br /> Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
