Session 1925 <br />June 21,2004 <br /> <br />Orderin,q the Relocation and Installation of Fire Hydrants in Maryland Terrace <br /> <br />Councilmember Welsch introduced a Resolution ordering the relocation and installation <br />of fire hydrants in Maryland Terrace, Mr. Wagner seconded and it passed unanimously. <br /> <br />A,qenda Item # 1 - Consent Calendar <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff advised that the Consent Calendar included items not requiring further <br />discussion: <br /> <br />Public Hearinq Date for Appleton Drive Riqht-of-Way Vacatin,q <br /> <br />He recommended that a public hearing be held on July 12, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. in these <br />Council Chambers to hear and consider any comments on the proposed vacating of <br />excess public right-of-way adjacent to 1352 Coolidge and 1400 Coolidge. University <br />City should retain a 10 foot wide right-of-way for a walkway between Coolidge Drive and <br />Braddock Drive which includes the newly constructed footbridge over the River Des <br />Peres. Excess right-of-way on the northern half of this block was vacated in the past. <br />Vacating two pieces of 20 foot wide right-of-way on the south half of this block would <br />return the land to productive use as extended private yards, return the properties to the <br />tax rolls, and avoid any future maintenance liability for the City. <br /> <br />Street Vacatinq Public Hearinq for 7603 Lynn Ave. <br /> <br />He recommended setting 7:30 p.m. in these Council Chambers on July 12 for a public <br />hearing on the proposed vacating of excess right-of-way adjacent to 7603 Lynn. The <br />original excess right-of-way along Harrison Ave. has all been vacated over the years <br />except for the parcel adjacent to this address. There is no public need now or in the <br />future for this property which could be placed back on the tax rolls and out from under <br />City maintenance responsibility. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved to adopt the Consent Calendar, Ms. Colquitt seconded, and the <br />motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />ADD AGENDAITEM: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff advised a request to add an item to the agenda: MoPIRG is seeking a <br />solicitation permit application.
