Session 1923
June 7, 2004

house and what has taken place there. It has been empty for a year; it is a shambles;
and she wants to make sure that tenants are not allowed to move back in, at least without
a fight. She wanted to know if the judge at the Housing Court tomorrow will know that this
is a drug house and if background information will be provided by the City. Mr. Ollendorff
said yes, background information will be provided.

MOMENT OF SILENCE HONORING FORMER PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN

Mayor Adams called for a moment a silence to honor the death of former President
Ronald Reagan, on Saturday, June 5th, which was then observed by the City Council and
people attending the City Council meeting.

COMMENTS

Ms. Colquitt commented upon a request from citizens to place a mirror at the corner of
Wilson Avenue and Midland, where the visibility is poor. She said a letter will be sent to
St. Louis County about this problem.

Next, she commented that the residents on the south side of Sutter Avenue were flooded
last week, and that work needs to be done by MSD. Although some work has been done
on Etzel Avenue, more needs to be done.

RESOLUTION

Ms. Brot introduced a Resolution supporting the need for a "first class" intersection at the
junction of Olive Boulevard and Highway 170, because it is an old project, there is great
need, there is danger, there are numerous accidents and the money has been
appropriated for this purpose. This Resolution urges East-West Gateway to keep their
promise.

Mayor Adams said MODot wants the program to proceed. Mr. Wagner offered support
for this Resolution and stressed the "renaissance" occurring on Olive Boulevard, and
encouraged Ms. Brot to include a sentence about the "finest vitality in businesses there"
and "spirit" being the highest in decades. Mr. Sharpe asked for a copy of the Resolution.

It was decided that the resolution would be rewritten to include some of the suggestions
that Councilmembers presented this evening and introduced at the June 21, 2004
meeting.

LEGISLATIVE DOCKET

BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READINGS

BILL 8713 - APPROVING A FINAL SUBDIVISION PLAT OF A TRACT OFLAND
Page 12
