Session 1718, Minutes <br />March 30, 1998 <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved to direct the City Manager to strictly enforce all four stop signs and <br />all the parking regulations and report to back to Council in ninety days. Mr. Munkel <br />seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman wanted to know why this was necessary. Passing the bill meant it was <br />now law and requires enforcement. Mr. Ollendorff said it certainly did, but it sounded as <br />if the citizens and the Council were looking for extra assurance of strict enforcement. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BILL FOR SECOND AND THIRD READING: <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8373 - AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, BY <br />REPEALING SECTION 21-73 THEREOF, RELATING TO MAJOR STREETS, AND <br />ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 21- <br />73. MAJOR STREETS DESIGNATED," THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS <br />TO DESIGNATE EIGHTY-SECOND BOULEVARD, FERGUSON AVENUE, <br />INTERSTATE 170, KINGSLAND AVENUE, MCKNIGHT ROAD, AND MIDLAND <br />BOULEVARD AS MAJOR STREETS, CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND <br />PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Ware moved adoption. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT A PERMANENT EASEMENT ON A STRIP OF <br />GROUND LOCATED IN BLOCK THREE OF LAWRENCE PARK SUBDIVISION, <br />ALONG THE ARCHER, BRADDOCK, COOLIDGE AND GRANT STORM CHANNEL. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved adoption.
