Session 1718, Minutes <br />March 30, 1998 <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: (Seven Items): <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff said that Mr. Lieberman requested that Consent Calendar #3 be <br />removed, so that it could be discussed. <br /> <br />#1 - Setting Public Hearing for Zoning Amendments: Mr. Ollendorff recommends setting <br />7:30 p.m. on May 4, 1998 in these Council Chambers as the time and place for a public <br />hearing on amendments to the new Zoning Ordinance to clarify requirements such as <br />open space, access and location for high density construction projects. The <br />amendments proposed by the staff and recommended by the Plan Commission are <br />necessary to bring several high rise office and apartment buildings into conforming <br />status. The new Zoning Ordinance inadvertently applied low density standards to these <br />developments. <br /> <br />#2 - Picnic Liquor License - Fair in the Square: Mr. Ollendorff recommends approval of <br />the annual license for the Gateway Marine Corp League to sell beer at the May 17 Fair <br />in the Square on Kingsland near the post office. This license has been issued for many <br />years without any problems. <br /> <br />#4 - Picnic Liquor License - Habitat for Humanity St. Louis: Mr. Ollendorff recommends <br />approval of the request made by the Habitat for Humanity St. Louis to sell beer and <br />wine at their event on April 4. The event will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, <br />7157 Northmoor. Several licenses have been issued for this location in the past with no <br />negative consequences. <br /> <br />#5 - Fabrication of Recycling Conveyo~. Invitation for Bids were sent to seven vendors <br />to provide bids for this requirement. Only one company responded as follows: <br /> <br />W. W. Munroe Equipment <br /> <br />$20,725.00 <br /> <br />Mr. OIlendorff recommends approval of purchasing the recycling conveyer from W. W. <br />Munroe Equipment for their bid of $20,725.00. A grant for $27,000 was received from <br />the State to purchase this item. The remaining funds will be used for installation. <br /> <br />#6 - Weapons Purchase: Invitations to Bid were sent to seven companies to provide 37 <br />Glock pistols for the Police Department. Two bids were received and tabulated as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
