Session 1718, Minutes
March 30, 1998

Law Enforcement Equipment Co.
Glock, Inc.

Total
$14,874.00
$14,985.00

Mr. Ollendorff recommends approval of the low bid from Law Enforcement Equipment
Co., for $14,874.00.

Mr. Lieberman moved approval of the consent calendar. Mr. Schoomer seconded the
motion, which carried unanimously.

CONSENT CALENDAR #3: PICNIC LIQUOR LICENSE - 524 TRINITY:

Mr. Ollendorff recommends approval of an application from COCA for a picnic liquor
license to sell beer, wine and mixed drinks on May 9th. There have been no problems
resulting from previous picnic licenses at this location and all city ordinance
requirements are met by this application.

Mr. Munkel moved approval. Mr. Ware seconded the motion.

Mr. Lieberman said that he felt that it was not in order to allow a one day picnic license
to include mixed drinks. This has not been done in the past and all of the other picnic
licenses, one day in duration, only use beer and wine, which is sufficient. Mixed drinks
are not appropriate and therefore, he will oppose this item.

All voted Aye, except for Mr. Lieberman, who voted Nay. The motion passed six to
one,

AGENDA #2: PUBLIC HEARING - REZONING:

Mr. Ollendorff said that the public hearing set for 7:30 p.m. this date and place is to
consider the unanimous recommendation of the Plan Commission that 8638 Barby
Avenue and 8640-8656 West Kingsbury in Boschert's Addition and Barby Lane
Subdivisions be rezoned from SR "Single Family Residential" to HRO "High Density
Residential/Office." Since the rezoning conforms with the comprehensive plan and
represents the quality and type of development which has long been a goal of the City
Council, introduction of the rezoning bill is in order following the public hearing.

Mayor Adams declared the public hearing opened.

Mr. Douglas Baron, 10 South Broadway, represents the Gatesworth in their application
for rezoning and conditional use permit, regarding the proposed expansion of the
Gatesworth. Mr. Barron explained the reasons and conditions behind the owners wish
