BILL 8726 - AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO ZONING, BY ENACTING A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS SECTION 34-106.3(5), TEMPORARY PROMOTIONAL DISPLAYS, SO AS TO CHANGE TIME RESTRICTIONS; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. Bill number 8726 passed and became Ordinance number 6496. BILL 8729 - PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION OF A PROPOSITION TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS AT THE GENERAL ELECTION ON NOVEMBER 2, 2004, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF RENOVATING AND IMPROVING CITY HALL. Mr. Edward McCarthy, 7101 Princeton, posed several questions about the bond issue: 1) which options will be adopted and for what amount of money, 2) whether tonight is the only opportunity to discuss the proposal, 3) whether this building should even be used as City Hall, and 4) what is the time frame for the bond issue?
