Session 1221, Minutes <br />June 18, 1979 <br /> <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF BID FOR LIMESTON~ MACADAM <br /> <br />Inv~tations to bid on the City's 1979-80 requirements for limestone macadam were <br />sent to six area quarries~ with one response received: <br /> <br />Fred Weber, Inc. <br /> <br />Unit Cost $6.75 ton Total $3,375.00 <br /> <br />It is recommended that this bid be accepted for the City's estimated requirement of <br />500 tons. (This year's price from the same supplier was $4.10 per ton). <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF BIDS FOR TRAP ROC~ (!3) <br /> <br />Four suppliers were invited to bid on the City's 1979-80 requirements, estimated at <br />600 tonss for trap rock. Two suppliers responded, as follows: <br /> <br />Unit Cost <br /> <br />Total Cost <br /> <br />Breckenridge Material Company <br /> <br />$13.00/ton <br /> <br />$ 7,800.00 <br /> <br />Crawford Trucking Company <br /> <br />14.26/ton 8,556.00 <br /> <br />The administrative forces recommend that the bid from Breckenridge Material Company <br />be accepted. (The same supplier furnished trap rock at $11.00 per ton this year.) <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF BIDS FOR TORPEDO GRAVEL (#4) <br /> <br />Invitations to bid on the City's 1979-80 requirements for torpedo gravel, estimated <br />at 800 tons, were sent to three sources in the St. Louis area, with one response re- <br />ceived: <br /> <br />Breckenridge Material Company Unit Cost $8.35 ton Total $6,680 <br /> <br />The administrative forces recommend that this bid be accepted. (This year's price <br />from the same supplier was $5.05 per ton.) <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF BIDS FOR CONCRETE~ SAND~ CEMENT AND MARKING LIME (~5) <br /> <br />ree area suppliers were invited to bid on the City's 1979-80 requirements for the <br /> __' 'L._of concrete, sand~ cement and marking lime.
