SESSION 1223 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> June 25, 1979 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of University City, Missouri, met in regular public <br />session on the above date at 7:30 o'clock P.M., at the City Hall in said City, the <br />following officers being present: <br /> <br />Mr. Lawrence Lieberman <br />Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br />Mrs. Cynthia Metcalfe <br />Mr. Patrick J. Kelley <br />Mr. Allen Sabol <br />Mrs. Elsie Glickert, Councilmen <br />Mr. Joseph W. Mooney, Mayor <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The City Clerk, Maury B. Poscover, was present and performed the duties of said <br />office. Also in attendance were Victor A. Ellman, City Manager, and Dennis F. Kay, <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Councilman Glickert said an addition should be made in the minutes of June 11, 1979. <br />On page nine, first paragraph, under OTHER BUDGET }~TTERS, it should read that the <br />full amount requested by the Board of Directors of University City Residential Ser- <br />vice was included in the budget under theHuman Resources Department. Councilman <br />Glickert so moved, the motion was seconded by Councilman Sabol and unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br />Councilman M~tcalfe said there were several errors in the last paragraph on page <br />two under PROPOSED BUDGET FOR 1979-80. She moved that the words "school area" be <br />substituted for "ward" in the third linel that "these" be substituted for "the <br />three" in the fourth line; and "Continuing Education" be substituted for "the Com- <br />munity Schools" in line seven. The motion was seconded by Councilman Glickert and <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilman Sabol moved that the minutes of June 11, 1979, be approved as corrected. <br />Councilman Glickert seconded the motion which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br /> <br />Mr. Lawrence Ferguson, recently reappointed to the Boards of Trustees of the Police <br />and Firemen's and Non-Uniformed Employees Retirement Funds, was sworn in by the <br />City Clerk. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT <br /> <br />Councilman Metcalfe moved the appointment of Carl Seltzer to the Commission on <br />H~n Relations, replacing Robert Watson who has resigned, for a term expiring Au- <br />gust 6, 1980. Councilman Sabol seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
