Session 1223, M/nutes <br />June 25, 1979 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF MAINTENANCE CON.TRACT FOR CITY HALL ELEVATOR (#3) <br /> <br />Four area companies were invited to bid on the maintenance service agreement on the <br />City Hall elevator, with the following response: <br /> <br />Miller Long U.S. Otis <br />Elevator Elevator Elevator Elevator. <br /> <br />Elevator $120/month $136/month $163/month $181.30/month <br />Annual Cost $1,440.00 $1,632.00 $1,956o00 $2,175.60 <br />5 Years Cost $7,200.00 $8.160.00 $9,780.00 $10,878.00 <br /> <br />Miller Elevator's bid of $1,440.00 is for the fiscal year 1979-80. There is an <br />annual adjustment of the total contract price at the end of each year based on the <br />percentage of increase or decrease shown in the "Wholesale Commodity Prices for <br />Metals and Metal Products," published by the U. S. Department of Labor. <br /> <br />The administrative forces recommend that the bid of Miller Elevator be accepted. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF BIDS FOR AIR CONDITIONING .(#4) <br /> <br />Bids were received from the following contractors for furnishing and installing a <br />heating and air conditioning unit in the Communications Room of the Police Depart- <br />ment. <br /> <br />Season Aire, Inc. <br />T. W. Heating and Sheet Metal <br />Ottofy-Strong Company <br /> <br />$5,927 <br /> 7,273 <br /> 9,792 <br /> <br />The bid of Season Aire, Inc. of $5,927 is recommended for acceptance. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF BIDS FOR RADIOS AND ANTENNA SYSTEM (#5) <br /> <br />Invitations to bid on furnishing six 6 or 8-channel mobile radios and satellite <br />antenna systems for use by the Police Department in its ICAP program were sent to <br />three companies, with the following response: <br /> <br />General Electric Motorola <br /> <br />5-watt, 6-channel search, vehicular <br />charge package, antenna system <br />5-watt, 8-channel vehicular charge <br /> package, antenna system <br />5-watt, 8-channel vehicular charge <br /> package, antenna system <br />6-watt, 8-channel vehicular charge <br /> package, antenna system <br /> <br />$20,822.90 <br />$18,282.20 <br /> <br />$16,181.00 <br />$19,703.00 <br /> <br />It is recommended that the bid submitted by Motorola for the 6-watt, B-channel mo- <br />bile radios and antenna system of $19,703 be accepted. <br /> <br />Councilman Metcalfe moved approval of the Consent Calendar. Councilman Adams sec- <br />onded the motion which carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
