Kaufman <br />presided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.IL In addition to the <br />l~yor, the following me~bers of the Council were present: <br /> <br />t~. Lawrence Lieberman <br />~. Elsie Glickert <br /> <br />Also present were City i~nager Charles T. iIenry, and Hr. Grego~f Sheehan, Jr., <br />Acting City kttorney. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Glickert, seconded by Councilman Grimm and unani- <br />mously carried, the i~nutes of the Council meeting held on June 2, 1975, were <br />approved as received. <br /> <br />COi.5~,]ICATIONS: <br /> <br />C~NDATION - STreET ;=~b P~JSE <br />Upon inquiry by i~yor Kaufman whether any communications had been received, <br />the City Clerk called attention to a letter from l~s. R. F. Caulk, 800 Oak- <br />brook Lane, commending the Street and Refuse Department for the fine work <br />they are doing in maintaining the area in which she resides in splendid <br />conition. Copies were sent to members of the Council. <br /> <br />SAFETY BELTS - SCHOOL BUSES: <br />%~e City Clerk called attention to letters recently received from State <br />Senator A. Clifford Jones and U.[]. Senator Stuart Symington in re the matter <br />of safety belts in school buses. Copies had been transmitted to members of <br />the Council. <br /> <br />CITY t~d~AGER' S F. CH: <br />iL~yor Kaufnmn opened a public hearing scheduled for this time to consider <br />an application by the Sutter Avenue Presbyterian Church, for a Conditional <br />Use Permit, to occupy the premises located at 6505 Bartmer Avenue as a Sun- <br />day School and a neighborhood social service office. City i'i~nager Henry <br />briefly reviewed the matter, explaining that the City Plan Co~aission has <br />recoramended approval, subject to certain conditions. <br /> <br />fir. Charles Ochs, trustee of the Church, was invited to come fo~;ard. <br />explained the need for enlargement and said that ~ithout the use of the <br />property (6505 Bartmer) they would be greatly hampered in their work, but <br />it would be an ideal situation if they were permitted tl~e use of this build- <br />ing. l,~r. Ochs said they plan to use those premises for Sunday School rooms <br />and Social Work that they do in the community, fmswering questions, ~r. Ochs <br /> <br /> <br />
