Kaufman <br />presided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.H. In addition to the <br />i~yor~ the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />1~. Lawrence Lieberman <br />I~. Henry, and Iir. Gregory Sheehan, <br />Jro~ Acting City Attorney. <br /> <br />I~i-IUTES: <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Werner, seconded by Councilman Adams, and unanimously <br />carried, the ~nutes of the meeting of the City Council held on June 9, 1975, <br />were approved as received. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Werner, seconded by Co~%cilman Ueissenburger, and <br />unanimously carried, the ~nutes of the meeting of the City Council held on <br />June 16, 1D75 were approved as received. (Several typographical errors <br />pointed out by Councilman ~issenburger, will be corrected.) <br /> <br />COiR~NICATI~S: <br /> <br />PJECOI~£~NDATION - TP~FFIC COi-~fISSIOi~: <br />Upon inquiry by llayor Kaufman whether any communications had been received, <br />the City Clerk called attention to a letter received from the Traffic Com- <br />mission, dated June 23, 1975, relative to a traffic problem on Gay Avenue <br />south of Old Bonhon~ae. Copies will be transmitted to members of the Council. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEfdlING - APPLICATION FOR A CONDITIOi~AL USE PEI~ilT - YOUTH <br />SERVICE: <br /> <br />i,~ayor i~aufman opened a public hearing scheduled for this evening concerning <br />an application for a Conditional Use Permit from the Youth Emergency Service <br />to occupy an apartment building located at 6816 Uashington Avenue. The ser- <br />vice would provide free emergency short term shelter care with parental per- <br />mission for youths in a time of family crises. The matter was briefly re- <br />viewed by City Hanager Ilenry who pointed out that the City Plan Commission <br />has recommended approval of the Permit. Councilman Ueissenburger observed <br />that the hearing had been scheduled with the proviso that it will not exceed <br />8:30 P.H. <br /> <br />I~. Stanley Schechter, attorney representing YES, discussed the purposes of <br />this not-for-profit corporation, and their function, and he explained how <br />it is proposed to use the building, lie said that parking will be used for <br />the staff on the premise site, but they have, in addition, received per- <br />mission to use the parking facilities of Temple Shaare Emeth, should a need <br />ever arise. It is planned to use the first floor of the building for office <br /> <br /> <br />
