BILL I-~O. 7072 - C~ENSATION OP, DINAIICE: Councilman Lieberman pointed out there was a recommendation from the City l~nager dated June 20th, in re Section 4, Item 6 of the Compensation Ordin- anceo City ilanager Henry said he is recommending the change of hours to be- come effective after January 1st because he thinks that will be the pre- vailing pattern. Councilman Lieberman moved that following the words "Other full time uni- formed Fire Personnel, the words "below the rank of Fire l%arshal and ambul- ance drivers" should be inserted. I~tion was seconded by Councilman Weissen- burger and unanimously carried. City I~nager Henry said the other change is outlined in his memo of June 20tho Councilraan Lieberman called to the Council's attention that this is, in effect, a reduction in the number of hours work, which, in his estimation, amounts to a pay increase over and above that being offered the balance of the people working for the City, and as such, he is opposed to it. i~yor Kaufman observed that it could be treated at a future time, and the City I~nager agreed that it could be acted upon at a future time. City i~nager Henry called attention to a change which should be made in Section 7 of the Compensation Ordinance, where steps 1 through 6 are in- dicated. He said to correspond with the Schedule A in the front they should be labeled "a, b~ c, d, e, f~' all the way down the page. Councilman Grimm moved this amendment.
