Ud~AGER Ct~dPJ~ES T. HENRY:

i~yor tCaufman stated that while it does not come as a surprise, a com-
munication has been received from City I~anager Charles T. Henry, submitting
his resignation effective July 13, 1975, to take a position as City I[anager
in Eugene~ Oregon. He said that although a reception has been scheduled in
~ro lIenryVs honor on Wednesday evening, June 25th, he nevertheless thinks
it would be appropriate for the record to show appreciation for his out-
standing service as City !~nager. The l~ayor added that he speaks for all
members of the Council who may have served with ~r. Henry since 1958. The
i~yor stated that the Council is deeply impressed with his integrity and
with his commitment to duty. He said that Ifr. Henry has been innovative
and has left a mark on the community, and the Council is sorry to see him
go. Hayor Kaufman requested that l!r. Henry's letter be made a part of
these ~nutes.

City i~nager Henry thanked the l~ayor and members of the Council for their
kind expressions and said he has enjoyed working with everyone here, the
Council as well as the City staff.

ALLEGED LIQUOR VIOLATION:

l~yor Kaufman called attention to a report from ~ief Damos with regard to
an alleged liquor violation which occurred in April, in University City.
~e l~ayor said that the Council did not receive a communication until June
and he said he is somewhat concerned that new liquor licenses are issued
the 1st of July and any violation notice, to be effective, must be issued
before that date, assuming the issuance of a license would be approved by
the Council. t~ suggested that Chief Damos be alerted that once they re-
ceive a communication from the State Liquor Office it should be sent to the
Council forthwith. There was general discussion.

Councilman Adams moved that a hearing be scheduled for June 30, 1975, at
8:30 PotL I~tion was seconded by Councilman Grimm and unanimously carried.
