SPECIAL SESSION 1079 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE ~IVERSITY CITY CO~CIL <br /> <br />June 26, 1974 <br /> <br />At a special meeting of the University City Council held in the Assembly <br />Room of the City Hall on Wednesday, June 26, 1974, Mayor Nathan B. Kaufman <br />presided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. In addition to the <br />Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Lawrence Lieberman <br />Mrs. Harriett Woods <br />Mr. Charles A. I~rner <br />Mr. Jason T. Weissenburger <br />Mrs. Elsie Glickert <br /> <br />ABSENT: Mr. H. Hadley Grimm. <br /> <br />Also present were City Manager Charles T. Henry, and Gregory Sheehan, Acting <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Councilman ~issenburger noted a typographical error on page 6 of the Minutes <br />of the Council meeting held on June 17, 1974: in the second paragraph on the <br />page, the word "last" was spelled incorrectly. The correction is to be made <br />so that the line will read," .... be reduced to the last three years from the <br />final five years which .... " <br /> <br />Councilman Weissenburger then moved that the Minutes of the Council meeting <br />held on J~e 17, 1974, with the aforementioned correction, be approved. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Woods and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />1974-75 BUDGET: <br />City Manager ~nry stated that pursuant to the provisions of the Charter, <br />the 1974-75 Budget must be acted upon by the Council no later than June 27th - <br />otherwise, the original document presented in May would become the Budget. <br />He said there have been numerous suggested changes and requests from the <br />public and various groups. He reviewed memos dated June 26, 1974 from Mr. <br />V. A. Eilman, Director of Finance, with regard to Revenue Appropriations <br />and Expenditure Appropriations, following which numerous questions propounded <br />by Councilman Werner and Councilman Woods were answered by City Manager <br />Henry and Mr. Ellman. They felt that the changes represent the consensus of <br />the Co~,cii. <br /> <br />Councilman Woods moved approval of the additions to the Revenue Appropria- <br />tions set out in blr. Ellman's memo of June 26, 1974. Motion seconded by <br />Councilman Weissenburger and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Lieberman inquired about a suggested increase in license fees <br />for large dogs which does not appear in the memo. City Manager Henry ex- <br />plained the problems and said that if the Council can agree on a price <br /> <br /> <br />
